Yes, a minimum of 1 SOL is required to successfully stake and earn rewards on GalaxyOne.
What are the fees associated with GalaxyOne Staking?
Through December 31, 2026, GalaxyOne will not charge a platform commission on SOL (Solana) staking rewards. This means, there is no platform service fee deducted from inflation or MEV rewards during this promotional period. Commission rates are subject to change with advance notice. After December 31, 2026, the standard platform commission on staking rewards for SOL will be 20%.
Please note that other fees, including standard network transaction fees (such as blockchain fees for staking or unstaking) may still apply. These are not charged by GalaxyOne and are required to process transactions on the Solana network. Residual MEV rewards that are distributed after assets are unstaked will not be credited to your account. Validators may retain certain protocol-level block rewards.
Review the GalaxyOne Staking fee schedule for more information.
What are the risks of staking?
Staking involves risks, including market volatility, validator downtime, potential slashing penalties, protocol changes, liquidity constraints during unstaking periods, and loss of rewards. Staked assets remain subject to market price fluctuations and may decrease in value. Staking is not a bank deposit and is not insured by the FDIC or any government agency.
How do staking rewards work?
Rewards begin accruing once your assets are successfully delegated and may vary based on network conditions and validator performance. Rewards are added to your staked balance while assets remain staked, subject to network performance and protocol conditions. Staking rewards are variable and depend on network conditions, validator performance, and protocol parameters.
Any estimated reward rates are displayed for information purposes and are not guaranteed.
When are my staking rewards paid out to my account?
Rewards will stop accruing in accordance with network processing rules once your unstake request is initiated. Once your unstake request has fully processed, your rewards will be accessible and available to use in your GalaxyOne Crypto account to sell, trade, transfer, or restake.
How do I unstake my assets, and how long does it take?
You can request to unstake your assets at any time by logging into your GalaxyOne account and selecting the ‘Unstake’ option in GalaxyOne Staking. Processing typically takes approximately 2–4 days but may take longer depending on network conditions.
During this time, you will not be able to sell, transfer, or withdraw your unstaked assets. During the unstaking process, assets still remain subject to market volatility and may decrease in value. In certain circumstances, validator penalties (known as slashing) may result in loss of rewards. Any staking rewards earned are credited directly to your GalaxyOne Crypto account and will appear in your portfolio view.
Will I be provided with tax forms for my staking rewards?
If you earn $600 or more in staking rewards during a calendar year, GalaxyOne will issue a Form 1099-MISC, which will be available digitally in your account. Reporting thresholds may change based on applicable tax laws. Tax treatment may vary based on individual circumstances. Staking rewards may be taxable, and GalaxyOne does not provide tax advice.
