FIN2 Customer Relationship Summary
INTRODUCTION
FIN2, LLC, (“FIN2”, “we”, or “us”) is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) as a broker-dealer and is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (“SIPC”). Brokerage and investment advisory services and fees differ and it is important for the retail investor to understand the differences.
WHAT INVESTMENT SERVICES AND ADVICE CAN YOU PROVIDE ME?
We offer self-directed brokerage accounts to retail investors, facilitating the buying and selling of fractional as well as whole securities. We offer access to many NYSE or Nasdaq-listed securities. Customers’ buy and/or sell orders are fulfilled through our carrying broker-dealer, DriveWealth LLC (“DriveWealth”). We do not execute any orders on your behalf. All orders you submit will be transmitted to DriveWealth, which is responsible for clearing, execution, settlement, and custody of securities in your brokerage account. We will not act in any capacity other than the transmission of your orders. All transactions will be executed by DriveWealth. Our primary responsibility is to ensure your orders are sent to DriveWealth promptly and on fair terms.
The minimum investment amount is $1. We provide access only to taxable accounts and limited-purpose margin accounts. No credit is extended to customers with limited-purpose margin accounts.
We don’t recommend investments or give advice. You make your own decisions about what to buy and sell.
Our employees do not make recommendations or provide investment advice, and none of our registered representatives are employed to manage your account. Registered representatives are permitted to provide assistance solely with respect to the use of the FIN2 platform.
We do not offer any proprietary investment products. Customers are not required to maintain any minimum balance in order to open or maintain a brokerage account with us.
Conversation Starters:
Given my financial situation, should I choose a brokerage service? Why or why not?
What is your relevant experience, including your licenses, education and other qualifications? What do these qualifications mean?
WHAT FEES WILL I PAY?
Our brokerage accounts are free to open, require no minimum balance to maintain, and do not charge commission fees. Customers may incur Exchange and Regulatory Fees, which we pass through without directly to the Customer.
Although we do not charge commissions, we may receive compensation on Customer trades, including but not limited to payment for order flow. As a result, the more a Customer trades, the more potential compensation we may receive.
Conversation Starters:
Help me understand how these fees and costs might affect my investments. If I give you $10,000 to invest, how much will go to fees and costs, and how much will be invested for me?
The costs and fees described apply to all Customers regardless of whether their investments gain or lose value. Fees and costs will reduce any investment returns over time. Customers are responsible for understanding the fees and costs associated with their account and transactions.
WHAT ARE YOUR LEGAL OBLIGATIONS TO ME WHEN PROVIDING RECOMMENDATIONS? HOW ELSE DOES YOUR FIRM MAKE MONEY, AND WHAT CONFLICTS OF INTEREST DO YOU HAVE?
We do not provide investment recommendations. There are certain ways in which we generate revenue that may create conflicts of interest with Customers. Customers are encouraged to understand and inquire about these conflicts, as they may affect the services provided by us.
As a broker-dealer that does not make recommendations or offer investment advice, FIN2 is not subject to the best interest obligation under Regulation Best Interest in connection with your transactions.
We do not monitor your account or investment performance, and do not make suitability or best interest determinations on your behalf.
We may receive a portion of the payment for order flow (“PFOF”) earned by our carrying broker-dealer, DriveWealth, for directing Customer orders to execution venues. We mitigate this conflict of interest by regularly reviewing the execution quality of Customer orders.
Conversation Starters:
How might your conflicts of interest affect me, and how will you address them?
HOW DO YOUR FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS MAKE MONEY?
Our employees are compensated through a combination of salary and discretionary bonuses. Bonuses are determined based on factors such as company performance and individual performance.
Our employees do not receive compensation based on commissions, fees, the performance of Customer accounts, the amount of Customer assets, the products Customers buy or sell, or revenue generated from services selected by Customers or trades placed by Customers.
DO YOU OR YOUR FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS HAVE LEGAL OR DISCIPLINARY HISTORY?
As of the date of this disclosure, neither FIN2 nor its financial professionals have reportable legal or disciplinary history. Visit brokercheck.finra.org and Investor.gov/CRS for free and simple search tools to research us and our financial professionals.
Conversation Starters:
As a financial professional, do you have any disciplinary history? For what type of conduct?
